The Mardi Himal Trekking is a newly opened route and hidden treasure in the Annapurna region. This trek is the best destination to avoid the crowd. Mardi Himal trek offers imaging view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre and Manaslu ranges. Mardi Himal base camp , Siding village and Lwang are the major attraction of this trek. Mardi Himal Trek is a short trek in Annapurna Region. Mardi Himal trek is very easy trek and beautiful trek its not far from Pokhara. Yet it is highly diverse with cultural insight, beautiful forest walks and alpine landscape. As the trail mostly stays along the ridge, the altitude gain becomes more . Finally we will have to fun and reach to Mardi Base Camp.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Day 02 : Fly Pokhara early in the morning, 1 hour drive kande and trek start to Deurali.
Day 03 : Deurali -Forest Camp
Day 04 : Forest Camp - Low Camp - High Camp.
Day 05 : Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp and return to the same place.
Day 06 : Siding to Pokhara
Day 07 : Drive from Pokhara To Kathmandu
Day 08 : Final Deperture
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) Our journey in Nepal begins today. A Himalaya Chyangpa Treks representative will be waiting for us at the airport. He/she will then drop us off at our hotel where we can take a rest. In the evening we can enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by Himalaya Chyangpa Treks . During the dinner we can enjoy Nepalese cuisine which will introduce us to the country’s food culture. Included meals:Dinner
Day 02 Fly Pokhara early in the morning, 1 hour drive kande and trek start to Deurali. We can enjoy the beautifully terraced farms, little shops by the side of the road and the raging Trishuli River on our drive to Pokhara also referred to as the ‘City of Lakes.’ From the city, we get great views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the five peaks of Annapurna. Pokhara is also a tourist destination, so we take some time out in the evening and enjoy!
Day 03Deurali -Forest Camp There is a right turn in Deurali signposted “Forest Camp” the trail is through jungle, at first up then undulating on the top of a ridge, there is a section just over half way where the trail drops steeply and then slowly gains height and then back onto the ridge and into Forest Camp (2600m) after about 4 hour trekking. After Lunch in Forest Camp, you will trek to Rest Camp (2605, 5-6 hours walking), overnight at Lodge.
Day 04Forest Camp - Low Camp - High Camp. The trail leaves Rest Camp again in the jungle, but the trees soon start to get smaller and after about one hours trekking broke out of the jungle and onto the open ridge with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South to my left. The trail then undulates along the ridge and after about 5-6 hours trekking we arrived at High Camp (3550m). and then overnight at Lodge.
Day 05Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp and return to the same place.It is possible to continue trekking along the ridge for another 4 to 5 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) and return to High Camp in around 4 hours – This makes a long day but there is also a viewpoint about half way. And then overnight at Lodge.
Day 06Siding to PokharaThis day, you drive from Siding to Pokhara by public Jeep or Bus, It is 4-hour drive to Pokhara. Rest of the day, free day in Pokhara.
Day 07Drive from Pokhara To Kathmandu We Drive to Kathmandu in the morning. Reaching in Kathamandu , we will be dropped off at our hotel in the city. We can spend the much needed rest or catch up on some last minute shopping. Either way, we mark the end of our successful trip with a farewell dinner hosted by Himalaya Chyangpa Treks, where we can share our experiences of the trek before flying back home the next day. Day 08Final Deperture Our trip to Nepal ends today. We will be dropped off at the airport by a company representative 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
The Trekking Group
For the Mardi Himal Trek, there will be one leader, assistant leader (4 trekkers:1 assistant guide) and porters for carrying luggage (2 trekkers:1 porter) This arrangement ensures that should anybody in the group become sick, the trip can still go ahead as planned. We can run the Mardi Himal Trek for groups of any size, but usually, it is a maximum of twelve people as we've found this to be the optimum size for a successful trip. However, if you'd like to book this trip for a large group then that can be arranged too.
All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners for guests. The most common cuisines in most menu will be Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian and the more common continental.

Our trek will be led by the best and professional leaders. All of Himalaya Chyangpa trekking leaders are carefully selected on the basis of their experiences, leadership skills and personal aptitude. With an objective of sustaining local communities, Himalaya Chyangpa only employs local staff who have adequate knowledge about culture, ecosystem, flora, fauna, geography, and history of their local region/s. It is a condition upon joining any of Himalaya chyangpa Treks & Expedition trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). Please note that we don't arrange or sell insurance.
Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Mardi Himal Trek is a moderate trek suitable for trekkers who can walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light backpack. No technical skill is required. Anyone who is physically fit with good health can participate in this trek. However, it is always best to start jogging and exercising regularly at least a month before the actual trek. Also, trekkers who have had experiences with high altitude trekking will find this trek relatively easier than others.
Equipments & Packing List
This list is a guideline to help you pack for your adventure. Also understand that the items listed below will vary a little according to the season and the trek duration. Those items marked by an asterisk (*) are provided by Himalaya Chyangpa Treks inclusive in the service. The weight limit for your luggage is 33 pounds or 15 kg. Remember that your luggage will be carried by your porter but you are required to carry a day-pack (with your valuables or anything important) on your own. We also suggest that you pack only what is necessary.
Important documents and items
1. Valid passport, 2 extra passport size photos, airline tickets
2.Separate photocopies of passport, visa form (easily obtained at Kathmandu airport), proof of insurance
3. Dollars, pounds or Euros in cash for purchasing Nepalese visa at Kathmandu airport, for paying for restaurants and hotels, for gratuities, snacks, and to purchase your own drinks and gifts
4. Credit cards, Bank/ATM/Cash machine cards for withdrawing funds from cash machines (bring a photocopy of your cards), traveler's checks, etc
Important Note : Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Himalaya Chyangpa Treks & Expedition Pvt. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
